In this art exhibition, painter Stefan Heide focuses on the continuously evolving images of people. Heide's creative interpretations are based on the identity of the individual in relationship to other human beings. The exhibition contrasts portraits of individuals with group portraits in which the individual characterisation is relinquished in favour of being imbedded in anonymous situations.

The identifying question "Who are you?" is supplemented by the question "Where are you?". In one respect, the individuals in the group portraits find themselves in career-related situations, in discussions or at work. In a contrasting series of pictures, Heide explores the human relationship to nature and invokes the traditional yearning for paradisiacal situation.
Biography
Born 1961 in Tübingen, Heide lives and works in the town of Glonn near Munich. He studied sculpture along with graphic design and therapy (master student, graduate degree 1989) at the Munich Academy of Art where he became a lecturer in 2001.
